Inspired by the raw beauty of Martha's Vineyard, my recent body of work "#shedshow2020" comes from experiencing landscape through seasonal change and the rebirth of winter into summer. My paintings are built on the relationship between seeing and feeling, remembering the past and capturing the present.

Working with oil pastel and watercolor on paper, I use color and texture to capture time of day and season. I remain interested in the moment when abstract gesture becomes form and how through this process of naming, mark making takes on meaning.

The paintings are poetry and lived experience.
